Hilda Macheso

Hilda Macheso is a Malawian disability rights advocate and the 2025–2026 recipient of the Human Rights Watch Marca Bristo Fellowship for Courageous Leadership in Disability Rights, a fellowship recognizing emerging leaders advancing disability rights globally.

She studied Theater and Performance at the University of Malawi, graduating in 2022. Her work focuses on championing the rights of persons with disabilities and creating inclusive community-based interventions that elevate marginalized voices.
