Los Angeles Schools Fight Harassment of Gay Teens

Widney Brown and Mike Bochenek, co-authors of "Hatred in the Hallways: Violence and Discrimination Against Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Students in U.S. Schools," returned to Los Angeles in March to help prepare for the anti-bias training of administrators and counselors in seven Los Angeles high schools. The School District scheduled the anti-bias training in response to recommendations from the "Hatred in the Hallways" report, which exposed rampant harassment of gay kids in U.S. high schools.
